When The Whole World Becomes Krishna Conscious

20 April 2014--Since we got to the airport very early at 5:00am for our flight from London to Helsinki this morning, there was hardly anyone there. This meant that we were able to joyfully breeze through security. But what made it even sweeter was that three security officials one after another said "Hare Krishna" to me. This is one of the reasons that I like to travel wearing tilaka and a dhoti. People will often recognize me as a member of the Hare Krishna movement. In India it's very common in the airports. But it was a really pleasant surprise in London. This was a most encouraging experience for me that this Hare Krishna movement is becoming now more and more acknowledged and appreciated in the world. If we keep expanding our influence like this, we can reasonably expect that someday the entire world will be Krishna conscious. What a glorious moment in history that will be.

Question: He Thinks That Krishna Is Not Great

Here is a question from a soul who attends our Saturday evening class on Bhagavad-gita. Please provide your guidance on how should this be answered:

"There is faith in Krishna like in others, but the question is that I can't find a convincing answer to why is it only Krishna, why Krishna always proclaims 'I am the supreme.' Great people don't do that. Greatness is better realized than declared. i may be applying my mind i am sorry i may even be wrong until i get the realization, but till then i am going to have this question lingering."

Answer: He Needs to Become Humble

If we think that we can judge Krishna for declaring His greatness, this means that we foolishly think that we are greater than Krishna, the Supreme Person, the very source of all existence. This means that we are maddened by false pride and that we need to learn how to become humble.
