Ride the Bhakti Wave That's Sweeping the Universe

A wave of bhakti is currently sweeping the universe. If you would like to experience the true nectar that you are meant to experience by the mere dint of your existence, you need to catch this wave and ride it back to your original state of pure consciousness, that transcendental dimension where there is no sickness, no old age, and no death. To do this you need to findpeople who are practicing pure bhakti and take shelter of their association. This is what I did when I took shelter of my spiritual master, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, and his disciples forty three years ago in the spring of 1971. I advise you to do the same.

Question: Can A Man Prolong His Life?

In the purport of Bhagavad-Gita 7.9 Srila Prabhupada says, "The duration of man's life is also due to Krishna. Therefore by the grace of Krishna, man can prolong his life or diminish it." As our life span is decided already, how can a living entity prolong one's life in a particular body even if he is engaged in devotional service?

Answer: By Bhakti One Transcends His Karmic Lifespan

By bhakti one transcends the lifespan allotted for him by the law of karma. The lifespan of a materialist is already predetermined by his past karma. He cannot live beyond the time allocated for him according to this karma. However, the lifespan of a devotee is not regulated by karma. His lifespan is now personally arranged for him by Krishna. Krishna could want him to remain in his present body for hundreds of years for making a spiritual revolution on this planet. Or Krishna could desire for a devotee to leave his body immediately because he is needed for rendering more important service on a different planet. Therefore the devotee simply puts himself in the hands of Krishna like a small child who is fully dependent on his parents.
