All of us here in this material world are the biggest fools because we traded our most wonderful eternal, all blissful existence in the spiritual sky for a miserable, ignorant semi-existence here in the cycle of birth and death in this material world. Krishna has come to save us from our foolishness by delivering the teachings of the Bhagavad-gita. So let us not remain fools. Let us take His teachings seriously and get out of this ridiculous place.

I love to hear all about Krishna, and to listen to the Hare Krishna mantra. I find that is very important to chant and understand the Supreme Lord Krishna. I would like to ask a question. Sometimes I sincerely chant Hare Krishna, but sometimes I stop my chanting for and feel very down. How can I constantly chant Hare Krishna?

If you will chant a regulated number of at least 16 rounds of Hare Krishna japa mala every day without fail, no matter what your mood is, along with the strict avoidance of illicit sex, meat eating, intoxication, and gambling--this will gradually bring you to the purified state of consciousness in which you can chant the holy names of the Lord constantly with great relish.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
