Back Out into the Jungle
21 April 2013--Today we are leaving Sri Vrindavana Dhama and heading out for eastern Europe. Staying here in Lord Sri Krishna's most sacred abode was certainly a cooling, most refreshing respite from the vicious, dog-eat-dog atmosphere of the material world. We could stay here in Vrindavan peacefully for the rest of our lives. But our duty is not to live comfortably. Our duty is to do whatever austerities are required to wake up the world population to the underlying spiritual reality that they are currently completely oblivious of. Therefore we are heading back out into the jungle of this material world to continue executing our world deliverance mission given to us by Srila Prabhupada. Krishna kindly keeps us comfortable even in the midst of the jungle-like chaos, just as it is always calm and peaceful in the eye of even the most devastating, destructive hurricane.

Guru Maharaja, in your text this 20th day of April it is said that only by chanting the holy name I can be free from all sinful activities and become happy. But why even if I'm chanting the holy name I still felt empty?
Can we say that when we do an impious act it is due to the sinful atmosphere in the present age of Kali?

It is a fact that we are influenced to be sinful by the extremely impious nature of this vicious age of Kali, the age of quarrel and hypocrisy. This is why we must chant the holy names of the Lord as much as possible to counteract the impious influence of this age upon our consciousness.
So try your best to be Krishna conscious and Lord Sri Krishna who is seated within your heart will personally help you.

Question: Why Emptiness When I Chant?

Answer: Lord Caitanya's Transcendental Emptiness
Lord Caitanya said He felt completely empty in the absence of Krishna. This was His ecstatic, anguished expression of love in separation from Krishna. So if in your chanting you will cry out to Krishna as someone who is feeling all vacate and empty in His absence, your heart will be filled with transcendental bliss and the sentiment of love of God will be awakened within your heart. It is a fact that we are influenced to be sinful by the extremely impious nature of this vicious age of Kali, the age of quarrel and hypocrisy.
