Back to Home, Back to Sri Vrindavana Dhama

It is indeed glorious to be back in Krishna's eternal abode so mercifully manifested on this material plane. Simply for the price of faith one can enter into this sublime atmosphere and be directly in the presence of Lord Sri Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the absolute source of everything which exists. Krishna's eternal pastimes are still going on for those who have the eyes to see. Srila Prabhupada explains that the intense desire to see the Lord here in Vrindavana is a good as direcly seeing Him face to face.

Why did Srila Prabhupada choose to have Krishna-Balarama as the main deities of the ISKCON temple in Vrindavan when Vrindavan is so very famous for the pastimes Krishna and gopis especially Srimati Radharani.

Answer: Krishna Balarama Lila in Raman Reti

The area of Vrindavan where the Krishna Balarama temple is located is known as Raman Reti, which means "pleasurable sands." This is the place of where Krishna and Balarama had their pastimes with the cowherd boys. Therefore it is most appropriate to have Krishna and Balarama as the main deities in this location. Besides that, this temple has become famous as the only Krishna Balarama temple in Vrindavan, where there are thousands of Radha Krishna temples. In this way it has gained special prominence.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
