Tortured by Incompetent, Decadent Leaders

The world civilization is at the present moment being very much tortured and misled by decadent, incompetent leaders who cannot control their senses. Unless one can control his senses by keeping them always engaged in the service of the Lord, he is not qualified to take any kind of leadership position within the society. For the welfare of the human society there is an urgent need for there to arise now a class of persons who are able to keep their senses 24 hours daily absorbed in the service of God. Only such persons are qualified to lead us. Without such leadership the entire planet earth will simply degenerate into deeper and darker depravity over the course of time. This is what is happening now. So things have to now change dramatically if there is going to be any scope for ongoing peace, happiness, and prosperity on this planet. In short, we need a spiritual revolution, and we need it right now.

I would like to know the definition of "revealed scripture" and the explanation of its relation to scripture in general.

Answer: Divinely Revealed by God

Revealed scripture means that it is divinely revealed by God, that it is not a product of mundane, fanciful imagination. Any scripture to be bona fide must be revealed. It cannot be concocted.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
