The Ever-Expanding Ocean Within and Without

On the one hand we are dedicatedly endeavoring to expand the ocean of the Krishna consciousness movement all over the universe for the deliverance of all living beings from the vicious, all-devouring cycle of birth and death. And on the other hand, we are also dedicatedly endeavoring like anything to entirely inundate our own hearts within the ocean of Krishna consciousness. This is inundation within and inundation without. To whatever extent we are able to inundate our hearts, to that extent we will be able to inundate the universe. And the more we inundate the universe, the more our hearts will be inundated with the sublime ocean of Krishna consciousness. So in this way, we continue daily in the ultimate adventure, relentlessly expanding the ocean of Krishna consciousness simultaneously within and without.

We welcome very much your decision to take initiation. This decision is glorious. It is the most significant step that you have taken in millions and billions of lifetimes of your rotating in the cycle of birth and death, because, as confirmed in the revealed scriptures, in order to become delivered from the cycle of birth and death and regain one's original forgotten identity in the spiritual world one must take initiation from a bona fide spiritual master and follow his instructions.

I will be very happy to accept you as my initiated disciple as soon as you are recommended for initiation by your local ISKCON temple president. He will require that you are steadily fixed in chanting at least 16 rounds a day of the Hare Krishna mahamantra on japa mala beads and that you are strictly avoiding illicit sex, meat eating, intoxication, and gambling.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
