"One who neither hates nor desires the fruits of his activities is known to be always renounced. Such a person, free from all dualities, easily overcomes material bondage and is completely liberated, O mighty-armed Arjuna."
What does this mean actually? Can you give an example or analogy to help me understand this?
Kindly clear this doubt.

Question: What is the Meaning of Free from Duality?
When I read Srila Prabhupada's books I often come across the phrase, "free from duality." For example in Bhagavad-gita 5.3 it is stated:"One who neither hates nor desires the fruits of his activities is known to be always renounced. Such a person, free from all dualities, easily overcomes material bondage and is completely liberated, O mighty-armed Arjuna."
What does this mean actually? Can you give an example or analogy to help me understand this?
Kindly clear this doubt.

Answer: Not Carried Away by Elation or Depression
To be free from dualities means not to become carried away by elation when good things happen or to be carried away by depression when bad things happen. One should always remain equipoised seeing everything equally as the mercy of Krishna.Sankarshan Das Adhikari
