Get Up with Determination and Fight
To become Krishna conscious in a materialistic society means that you have to go against the grain. You have to dare to be different. This not always an easy thing to do because there is a tremendous amount of pressure being exerted upon us to conform to the life of sense gratification that 99.99% of the world population is caught up in. It is sometimes said that misery enjoys company, and this is certainly true in regards to the materialistic civilization. This is why Srila Prabhupada explains that to become Krishna conscious we have to declare war against the material energy. The difficulty is that sometimes, like Arjuna, we become lethargic, unwilling to fight the battle. At times like these we can take encouragement from Lord Krishna's instruction to Arjuna:
uttistha kaunteya yuddhaya krta-niscayah
"O son of Kunti, get up with determination and fight."
--Bhagavad-gita 2.37

Krishna does not prescribe that we worship the various demigods such as Ganesh, Shiva, or Durga. In fact He states that those who worship the demigods have lost their intelligence. There is no need to go here and there for this and that. If we simply fully surrender ourselves to the supreme authority, Lord Sri Krishna, all of our problems will be solved immediately. There is no need for any other type of worship.
The four-armed Vishnu is an expanded form of the original two-armed Personality of Godhead, Lord Sri Krishna. Therefore, He is also the fully worshipable Supreme Personality of Godhead.

Answer: In Full Surrender to Krishna
So many things are said by so many different people. If one bases his life on these so many things that are said, his life will be a confused mess. Therefore, one should simply base his life on the words of the supreme authority, Lord Sri Krishna as He clearly speaks in the Bhagavad-gita, and not worry about the thousands and millions of other things that are said.Krishna does not prescribe that we worship the various demigods such as Ganesh, Shiva, or Durga.
