Realizing the Absolute Truth

When our senses are imperfect, and we are thus prone to illusion, and we make many mistakes, and in a cheating mentality stubbornly claim to be perfect, how can we know anything for certain? We can't. Are we destined then to remain in the illusory realm of relativity in which everyone takes their own subjective opinion as the so-called truth?

There is a way out of this quagmire. We can understand that Absolute Truth does exist because it is logically impossible to assert the non-existence of Absolute Truth. So how one who is captured by illusion can realize the Absolute Truth? He cannot do so on his own power. But by the power of the Absolute Truth it is possible to realize the Absolute Truth.

In the Bhagavad-gita it is clearly revealed that Krishna is the Absolute Truth:

arjuna uvaca
param brahma param dhama
pavitram paramam bhavan
purusam sasvatam divyam
adi-devam ajam vibhum
ahus tvam rsayah sarve
devarsir naradas tatha
asito devalo vyasah
svayam caiva bravisi me

"Arjuna said: You are the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the ultimate abode, the purest, the Absolute Truth. You are the eternal, transcendental, original person, the unborn, the greatest. All the great sages such as Narada, Asita, Devala and Vyasa confirm this truth about You, and now You Yourself are declaring it to me."
--Bhagavad-gita 10.12-13

So if we will simply hear submissively from the Absolute Truth Personality of Godhead and sincerely apply His instructions, by His power all of our illusion will be dispelled and we will gradually realize Him in full.

Question: Higher Pleasures

Pleasure is perceived by the mind mainly through the sense organs. Among the pleasures the pleasure perceived as orgasm through genitalia is the most sought after.

The duration of these pleasures is very transient. Study of literature or listening to good music gives pleasures that lasts little more than raw sense pleasures. So please enlighten me regarding long lasting higher pleasures .

Answer: Bhakti is Pure Pleasure

Higher still is the pleasure of bhakti, which is ever-increasing and goes on eternally. The other pleasures are mixed with varying degrees of anxiety and are therefore not pure pleasures. Only bhakti is pure pleasure.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. Who is this Krishna?

Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead.
