Beyond the Influence of the Dualities

This material existence always has its ups and downs. That is its nature, for this is the world of dualities. Sometimes we are elated. Sometimes we are depressed. We cannot find a steady position here. Even though we are presently stuck here in the material existence, we don't have to a remain a slave of these dualities. We have a clear choice. We can either remain in our present position under the influence of the dualities or we can opt to transcend them through the transcendental self-realization science.

Unfortunately the modern day educational system does give even the slightest amount of information regarding the dualities and how to transcend them. Therefore people throughout the world are bewildered and confused. Even though that knowledge which can deliver them is being made readily available by the self-realized souls of the Krishna consciousness movement, the masses are so much blinded by the propaganda of eat, drink, and be merry that they completely turn themselves off to the pursuit of higher enlightened consciousness considering it to be some kind of insanity. Therefore out of kindness upon those who are drowning in ignorance, the self-realized souls fully dedicate their entire lives to awakening their divine consciousness.

Anyone and everyone can remain in their present designation and practice Krishna consciousness. For example, one of the members of our course is a Baptist minister. The science of self-realization does not belong to any one designation. We are all children of the same God, regardless of what we may call Him. To develop pure love for Him is the purpose of our existence. This is the universal science, the universal religion for all of mankind. Anyone who seriously takes up chanting the Hare Krishna mahamantra under the expert guidance of the bona fide spiritual master will achieve the perfection of human existence, pure love for God.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. Who is this Krishna?

Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
