Back to Home in Your Home...

Today we are heading back to our home base in Austin, Texas, USA. But that is not why I have titled today's "Thought for the Day" as "Back to Home..." The real meaning of "Back to Home" is back to our original pure state of enlightened consciousness in a loving relationship with the supreme and original person, the source of all existence. Our "home" in Austin, Texas is just another way station along the path to our original eternal home in the Spiritual Sky. Our real home is also that place, wherever it may be, where people are eager to hear, chant, and remember the transcendental name, fame, forms, pastimes, entourage, and paraphernalia of that inconceivably wonderful Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Sri Krishna. Why is that? Because wherever Krishna's glories are sung is non-different from that wondrous Spiritual Sky.

If you would like us to visit you, to take you back to home in your home, and you can arrange a program of hearing and chanting the Lord's glories in your community, we will try to add your city to our world preaching schedule at some time in the future when it becomes practical for us. Let us know.

You don't have to wait for us to come to your home to go back to home in your home. All you have to do is make Krishna the center of your home right home by regularly chanting Hare Krishna there and offering all of your food to the Lord before eating. (Remember: No meat, fish, or eggs allowed. Onions and garlic are also avoided.)

Answer: Revive Your Krishna Consciousness..

Kindly understand that our sense of loss and disappointment is simply due to ignorance. We are foolishly misidentifying ourselves with these material bodies. Although I have the body of a man or a woman, the body is not me. It is simply a covering, a garment which is being worn by the eternal spiritual being who lives within. If we can revive our original spiritual nature through reviving our lost loving relationship with God, we will enter into an eternal all-blissful, all-knowing existence. The process of reviving our love for God is known as Krishna consciousness, and the goal of this process is pure Krishna consciousness. We learn how to love the Lord purely, without any material motivations so that we can ultimately enjoy the privilege of lovingly serving Him in His transcendental abode in the spiritual sky. This mood of pure devotion brings immediate relief from all kinds of material distress. This process is learned by taking shelter of the guidance of the bona fide spiritual master. I therefore recommend that you should begin this process in earnest as soon as possible. It will solve all of your problems. You will taste happiness far, far beyond anything you have ever dreamed could be possible.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
