No Krishna, Know Nothing
Thought for Day--15 January 2026
In the Muṇḍaka Upaniṣad 1.3 we are blessed with this sublime wisdom:yasmin vijñāte sarvam idaṁ vijñātaṁ bhavati
"If one knows the original cause, the subordinate causes are automatically known."
Stated simply this means that if you know Krishna you know everything. The opposite of this is that if you don't know Krishna, even though you may be very proud of your material knowledge, you don't know anything, you know nothing.
One may argue that knowing everything means that he must be able to know how many grains of sand are on the beach. This is not what is meant. He knows everything in the sense that he knows the pure essence of everything. He knows that the sand is the emanated energy of Krishna. In this way he perfectly understands the utility of the sand to engage it in Krishna's service and does not walk on the beach in a bathing suit hoping to attract a girl. In this way he is able spiritualize the sand and the entire material existence. This is perfect knowledge of everything.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada
From some days since I mistakenly mishandled Srila Prabhupada picture while decorating altar, my mind randomly poping up bad thoughts about Srila Prabhupada and senior vaisnava which make no sense, I tried to stop thinking about them but random poping is disturbing me in service. I am very sad. Please help me.

From: Honolulu, Hawaii USAMy Dear A. Dāsa,
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.
Since the mind always wants to be engaged, you don’t get rid of bad thoughts by negating them. You get rid of bad thoughts by replacing them with good thoughts. There are so many wonderful pastimes of Śrīla Prabhupāda that you can read about and meditate on. I always fondly remember how he singled me out from a large group of devotees to make sure that I got a flower from him, and how he instructed me to always continue enthusiastically in pushing forward the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement, promising me that by doing so I would receive the blessings of Kṛṣṇa.
I hope this meets you in the best of health and in a cheerful mood.
Your ever well-wisher,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari
