Keep individuality and become pure devotee.
Keep Your Individuality and
Become Krishna's Pure Devotee
Thought for Day--2 January 2026
We all have individual natures, different personalities, different talents, and different propenties. Becoming Krishna conscious does not mean that we have to give them up. It means that we can keep them and perfect them by making Krishna their center. In the material world everyone has their individual natures. But because they are not Krishna centered their circles of interest clash with the circles of interests of others and there is so much trouble: disagreements, fights, wars, etc. On the other hand, In Krishna consciousness all of our circles are concentric. They do not clash with each other and thus there is perfect peace and harmony in our relationships. (Whatever clashes devotees experience are due to their not yet being perfectly Krishna centered.)
In this regard, Srila Prabhupada explained as follows in a lecture he gave on The Nectar of Devotion in Vrindavan on October 24, 1972:
That compass, you put the pointed part on the center, you can make a circle. So if I do not take the central point, I make my own point, then my circle will overlap your circle, there will be a clash. But if the center is the same, I can draw one circle, you can draw one, another circle, none of these circles will overlap. So if taking Kṛṣṇa as the center... Nirbandhe kṛṣṇa-sambandhe. If we relate our activities, social activities, philanthropic activities, political activities, any a..., religious activities, any activity, if you make center Kṛṣṇa, then my circle, your circle, another circle will not overlap. But it will give different lights, Kṛṣṇa being center.
The technique for each of us to be more perfectly Krishna centered is to improve the quality (and if possible, increase the quantity) of our chanting the Hare Krishna mantra.
Hoping this meets you in good health and in a cheerful mood,
Your ever well-wisher.

All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.
Thank you, Śrīla Gurudeva, very, very much for giving me a chance for devotional service, which is more fortunate than the wealth of Kuvera.
I remember the instruction that cleaning the pots in the temple is so valuable that if one can get such a chance one should even pay money for it, because it is more valuable than any amount of wealth attained in the material world.

Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.
Yes, devotional service is so valuable that instead of paying someone to wash the pots in the temple we can pay for the opportunity to wash the pots in the temple
I hope this meets you in the best of health and in a cheerful mood.
Your ever well-wisher,

How I Came to Krishna Consciousness
In a world obsessed with money, fame, and fleeting pleasures—leading nowhere but to the grave or the crematorium—I walked away. Life felt so meaningless, I couldn’t stand it. This is the true story of how I turned my back on the American materialistic dream and discovered something far greater: Krishna consciousness. A gripping journey of inner revolution and a call to awaken a world civilization on the edge of collapse.Read My Memoir You'll Love It!
