Who is the Real World Leader?

At the present moment the world is being grossly misguided by so many nonsense so-called leaders who are on the platform of material sense graificatioin and thus have absolutely no qualification to be leaders. Such so-called leaders have turned our planet into a hell. So who is actually qualified to lead us?

Srila Rupa Goswami has clearly described who is the real leader:

vāco vegaṁ manasaḥ krodha-vegaṁ
jihvā-vegam udaropastha-vegam
etān vegān yo viṣaheta dhīraḥ
sarvām apīmāṁ pṛthivīṁ sa śiṣyāt

"A sober person who can tolerate the urge to speak, the mind's demands, the actions of anger and the urges of the tongue, belly and genitals is qualified to make disciples all over the world."

So this is the caliber of the person and persons who should actually vw leading the world, not these present fools and rascals. It is not that such highly qualified transcendentalists have to take the political posts. What is required is that the political leaders should guidance from such liberated souls how to rule their citizens in such way that they can all become qualified to go back to Home, back to Godhead. In the Vedic times this was the system. The kings would guidance from the brahmincial class, the sages, how to properly rule their kingdoms.

Question: How to Focus on Japa?

Dear Gurudev,

I have started doing japa 2 months earlier, and it was going well. But now for a few days due to some problems I am in tension and not able to focus on japa. And am not able to serve Krishna properly.

Please give some instructions.

Always remember this wonderful instruction from Srila Prabhupada:

"One should not be happy or distressed over desirables and undesirables, knowing that such feelings are just created by the mind."

So rise above your mind to the transcendental platform where Lord Krishna is showering His unlimited mercy upon you at every minute. In this way you will become steady in chanting at least 16 rounds every day, and you will never be overwhelmed by anxiety ever again.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me.
