We Can Make the Whole World Krishna Conscious

In a room conversation in Vrindavan on 9 October 1977 Srila Prabhupada confirmed that we can make the whole world Krishna conscious. Here's an excerpt from that conversation:

Brahmānanda: Actually we could make this whole world Kṛṣṇa conscious.
Prabhupāda: Yes. It is not difficult.
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: You said that you still want to see the world overflooded with Kṛṣṇa consciousness. You said you wanted to see that happen.
Prabhupāda: We can do that.
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: As you instruct us, Śrīla Prabhupāda, we will carry out your orders exactly.

Therefore let us strictly follow out the instructions that Srila Prabhupada has so mercifully given us so that our going back to home, back to Godhead is assured and so that we can now make the whole world Krishna conscious as soon as possible!

Question: How to Handle This?

Hare Krishna Dear Guru Maharaja

Please accept my humble obeisances at your lotus feet.

All glories to you, all glories to Srimati Gurumataji, and all glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I am witing to you after a very bitter experience. My relatives are criticizing and making fun of me for being in Krishna consciousness. They are insulting me in front of everyone saying that by being into Krishna consciousness I am not concentrating on getting material wealth. They make fun of me when I chant or when I tell them that I do not eat anything other than food which has been offered to Krishna. They also blaspheme the devotees who have brought me to Krishna consciousness.

I never want to be away from Krishna consciousness no matter what. I want to make them understand the importance and bliss of being in Krishna consciousness but they are not paying attention. Rather they are concentrating more on making fun of my endevour to be a devotee.

Please advice me how to handle this.

In this regard Srila Prabhupada has written in his purport to Sri Caitanya Caritamrita, Adi Lila, Chapter 12, Text 51 as follows:

"A Vaiṣṇava must be very alert not to waste even a second of his valuable lifetime. This is a symptom of a Vaiṣṇava. But association with pounds-and-shillings men, or viṣayīs, materialists who are simply interested in sense gratification, pollutes one’s mind and hampers such continuous remembrance of Lord Kṛṣṇa. Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu therefore advised, asat-saṅga-tyāga—ei vaiṣṇava-ācāra: a Vaiṣṇava should behave in such a way as to never associate with nondevotees or materialists (Cc. Madhya 22.87). One can avoid such association simply by always remembering Kṛṣṇa within his heart."
