New Mailing Address for ISKCON Austin

Even though our neighborhood community mailbox, which was recently destroyed by vandals, is the property of the US Government and they are obliged to repair or replace if it is damaged, they are not doing so. Therefore we no longer have proper mail service. Therefore anything that any of you would like to mail us should not be sent to our address on Jonwood Way. All mail to us should instead be sent to:

Amarendra Nagavarapu—ISKCON Austin
10409 Ivalenes Hope Dr.
Austin Tx 78717

We hope that soon the US Government will do its duty or restoring our mail service.

Question: Why the Whole World Was Not Delivered?

Srila Prabhupada writes in this purport to Sri Caitanya Caritamrita, Adi Lila, Chapter 7, Text 83:

A sincere student aurally receives the holy name from the spiritual master, and after being initiated he follows the regulative principles given by the spiritual master. When the holy name is properly served in this way, automatically the spiritual nature of the holy name spreads; in other words, the devotee becomes qualified in offenselessly chanting the holy name. When one is completely fit to chant the holy name in this way, he is eligible to make disciples all over the world, and he actually becomes jagad-guru. Then the entire world, under his influence, begins to chant the holy names of the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra.

In this regard I will recently asked in a class, "Since Srila Prabhupada is a pure devotee jagad-guru why the whole did to become Krishna conscious by his influence?"

Answer: To Give Us the Opportunity

In this regard the follow question and answer took place between Vishnujana Swami and Srila Prabhupada in an arrival conversation that took place in Los Angeles on June 20, 1975:

Viṣṇujana Swami: Śrīla Prabhupāda, what did Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura mean when he said, "I am going, my work unfinished"?

Prabhupāda: Hmm?

Viṣṇujana Swami: When Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura stated that he was leaving this planet with his work unfinished.

Prabhupāda: Then let us finish. We are descendant of Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura. So he kept unfinished so that we shall get the chance to finish it. That is his mercy. He could have finished immediately. He is Vaiṣṇava, he is all-powerful. But he gave us chance that "You foolish people, you all also work." That is his mercy. So we should pray to Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura that "We are your grandchildren, great-grandchildren, so we have got some right to beg some mercy from you. The grandchildren get some indulgence from the grandfather. So I pray like that." It is Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura's mercy. A Vaiṣṇava can... Kṛṣṇa doesn't require anyone's help. Still, He is asking, "Surrender to Me." He doesn't require anyone's surrender. But it is for him good, one who surrenders. Not Kṛṣṇa is in need of anyone's service. He is complete. But He comes as if He is in helpless condition and asking for us to surrender. So that is for his good. One who is surrendered, he'll get the result. Kṛṣṇa is self-sufficient. Similarly, Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura is self-sufficient. But if he said that "I (am) keeping unfinished," that means he gave us the chance, the opportunity. So we should always pray to Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura to be merciful upon us so that we can execute his unfinished task. That should be our... And never we should think that "What Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura could not finish, I have finished." Don't think like that. It is not like that."

----------------------

From this it is very clear to understand that Srila Prabhupada could have personally delivered everyone in this world back to Home, back to Godhead, but that he did not do so in order to give us, his followers, the opportunity to finish his unfinished work.

So let us work together as a team to make the whole world Krishna conscious as soon as possible!

I hope this meets you in the best of health.

Your ever well-wisher,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari
