Do You Know Why You Exist?

Do You Know Why You Exist?

In the Bhagavad-gita, Chapter 10, Verse 8 Lord Sri Krishna reveals why we exist:

ahaṁ sarvasya prabhavo
mattaḥ sarvaṁ pravartate
iti matvā bhajante māṁ
budhā bhāva-samanvitāḥ

'I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who perfectly know this engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts."

We exist not because of the so-called Darwinian evolution or because our mother and father wanted to have a baby. We exist because Krishna is emanating us from Himself for the purpose of enjoying a sweet, loving intimate relationship with each and every one of us. This is we need to reconnect with Krishna. And we need to do it now! Right now! Otherwise we are simply cheating ourselves, big time.

Question: Will I Go Back to Godhead?

Hare Krishna Guruji,
Please accept my humble obeisances.

I have one doubt because I am visiting ISKCON since 7 years, but sometime I feel enthusiastic to chant and sometime I don't find any interest. I am 33 years old already. I am not getting any hope and confidence that one day I can realize myself and give better service to Krishna. Will I be able to go back to Krishna in this lifetime? Please let me know.

Your servant,
Arati

Answer: If You Become Steady in Chanting

My Dear Arati,

Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Interest or no interest, chant as matter of duty. This is medicine. If you take the medicine regularly, you will gradually become cured and relish unlimited pleasure with your chanting.

Here is the Bhagavad-gita verse and purport that will save your life:

yat tad agre viṣam iva
pariṇāme 'mṛtopamam
tat sukhaṁ sāttvikaṁ proktam
ātma-buddhi-prasāda-jam

TRANSLATION
"That which in the beginning may be just like poison but at the end is just like nectar and which awakens one to self-realization is said to be happiness in the mode of goodness."

PURPORT
"In the pursuit of self-realization, one has to follow many rules and regulations to control the mind and the senses and to concentrate the mind on the self. All these procedures are very difficult, bitter like poison, but if
one is successful in following the regulations and comes to the transcendental position, he begins to drink real nectar, and he enjoys life."

When you become fixed in chanting at least 16 rounds of Hare Krishna japa mala daily along with the strict avoidance of illicit sex, meat eating, intoxication, and gambling, and you accept initiation from the bona fide spiritual master you will solidly fixed on the pathway for going back to Krishna in this lifetime.
I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.
