Be the Revolution You Want to Make

Be the Revolution You Want to Make
This a correction for yesterday's Thought for the Day. I wrote (error in italics and bold):

"So even though we often emphasize the absolute importance of ISKCON's world deliverance mission, far, far more important is the deliverance of ourselves. Of course, it is matter of practicality because we can only be successful in delivering the world to whatever extent we have been successful in delivering souls. In other words, we have to be the revolution we want to make."

What I meant to say is (correction in bold and italics):

"So even though we often emphasize the absolute importance of ISKCON's world deliverance mission, far, far more important is the deliverance of ourselves. Of course, it is matter of practicality because we can only be successful in delivering the world to whatever extent we have been successful in delivering ourselves. In other words, we have to be the revolution we want to make."

Question: Position of Women in Vedic Culture

My dear Guru Maharaja,
Dandavats pranam.
Hope all safe and Covid free!

When I tell about Srila Prabhupada to others many bad mouth him saying that he was against women being educated. They say he was against women coming up in life or being independent. "In the present world women lead countries too. So how can we follow his teachings?" they ask. This has also become a great negative when we do book distribution. Your take on this please.

Thanks.
Your lowly servant,

Amarnath

Jahnava Mata--Leader of Vaisnava Community

Jahnava Mata--Leader of Vaisnava Community

Answer: Jahnava Led the Entire Vaisnava Community

My Dear Amarnath,

Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

The Vedic culture does not discriminate against anyone on the basis of their body. Rather it engages everyone according to their natural talents and abilities.

Srila Prabhupada taught us that after the disappearance of the Panca Tattva, Jahnava Mata, the wife of Lord Nityananda, became a powerful acharya and was controlling the entire Vaisnava community.

I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.

Your ever well-wisher,
