When Suffering's So Bad That You Just Can't Stand It
When suffering's so bad
That you just cannot stand it,
Remember this clue
To quell the bliss bandit.
That body's not you.
Just a transient covering.
Chant Hare Krishna.
Pure bliss now discovering.

This spiritually awakened person realizes that he is not his body and that therefore his real happiness is on the transcendental platform in a loving relationship with Lord Sri Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, rather than from any form of material sense gratification such as sex. Therefore he views all forms of sexual attraction to be a distraction from his path of spiritual discovery and prefers to only indulge in sex for the purpose of producing saintly children. In other words, apart from procreation he has no interest at all in sex.
Before coming to Krishna consciousness the devotee may have felt sexual impulses towards the opposite sex, or he may felt attraction towards the same sex. Regardless of his sexual orientation he renounces recreational sex and only uses sex for producing saintly children, if he is married.
Since marriage is a license for sex and since the devotee only uses sex for procreation, he has no interest in gay marriage or gay sex. Because a man cannot make another man pregnant, nor can a woman make another woman pregnant, gay marriage has no meaning. If two sexually active gay lovers join the Krishna consciousness together, they will naturally give up gay sex. If they choose to remain together as lifelong intimate friends, they will do so in complete celibacy and have no interest in so-called same sex marriage.
