Falling in Love with Vrindavana

Being here in Sri Vrindavana Dhama grows on you. To be every day associating with the sacred dust, the sacred sights, and the sacred sounds of Krishna's transcendental abode has a profound impact on one's consciousness. Although in the beginning there may some culture shock due to external conditioning, once one settles into the mood of being in Sri Vrindavana Dhama one begins to taste the sweetest nectar of love of Godhead. Therefore Krishna devotees from all over the world regularly come here to surcharge their spiritual batteries by taking shelter of the sweet, loving mellows of Sri Vrindavana Dhama. Regarding the transcendental potency of being here in Vrindavana Srila Prabhupada has written in his purport to the Srimad Bhagavatam 3rd Canto, Chapter 1, Text 24 as follows:

The tract of land comprising about one hundred square miles from modern Delhi to the Mathura district in Uttar Pradesh, including a portion of the Gurgaon district in Punjab (East India), is considered to be the topmost place of pilgrimage in all of India. This land is sacred because Lord Krishna traveled through it many times. From the very beginning of His appearance, He was at Mathura in the house of His maternal uncle Kamsa, and He was reared by His foster father Maharaja Nanda at Vrindavana. There are still many devotees of the Lord lingering there in ecstasy in search of Krishna and His childhood associates, the gopis. It is not that such devotees meet Krishna face to face in that tract of land, but a devotee's eagerly searching after Krishna is as good as his seeing Him personally. How this is so cannot be explained, but it is factually realized by those who are pure devotees of the Lord.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
