The Pure Devotee is an Ocean of Mercy

The pure devotee of Krishna is an ocean of mercy because he bestows the unlimited benediction of Krishna's mercy upon the suffering humanity. Without any discrimination of who is fit and who is not fit, the pure devotee distributes the pure loving mercy of Lord Sri Krishna to everyone he meets. He does not remain a recluse only concerned with his salvation. Rather he travels and preaches widely throughout the world to bless as many suffering souls with the soothing balm of Lord Sri Krishna's liberating mercy. He asks no compensation for this most valuable of all services to the suffering humanity. His only compensation is to see that Krishna is being pleased by the deliverance of His lost children back to His eternal abode in the spiritual sky.

Answer: Only Apparently, Not Factually

For those who are not realized in Vedic wisdom and who are thus only able to approach the Vedic wisdom superficially, it sometimes appears that there are contradictions in the Vedic wisdom. For example in the Sri Isopanisad Mantra 5 it is stated:

tad ejati tan naijati

"The Supreme Lord walks and does not walk."

From a mundane standpoint it is not possible that someone walks and does not walk. But in Krishna even the inconceivable becomes possible because He is the supreme controller. Everything is acting under His absolute power. He can make anything to be exactly how he wants it to be, even if it defies mundane logic. In this case the Lord's not walking refers to His impersonal, formless, all-pervading nature, and His walking refers to His transcendental form in which He walks in His loving pastimes with His devotees. Both of the natures of the Lord are acting simultaneously, but it is the personal nature which is predominate and the impersonal nature which is subordinate. This is confirmed by the Supreme Person Krishna in the Bhagavad-gita when He states that He, the Person Krishna, is the source of the impersonal Brahman.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
