Beyond the Bursting Bubble
This material existence is a bewildering quagmire for those who have not realized the source and purpose of their existence. If we do not know why we exist, how can we have a meaningful existence? We cannot. All we will be able to do is invent a so-called meaning and try to live happily in the bubble of our dream world. But all bubbles eventually burst. We cannot remain forever satisfied by embracing an imaginary purpose for our existence. Therefore instead of taking a pathway which leads to confusion, disappointment, and frustration, we should take the path that leads us to eternity, knowledge, and bliss by seeking out a bona fide spiritual master, a teacher who can genuinely enlighten us in the science of the origin and purpose of our existence.

Our identities as male and female are external coverings only. The actual identity of every living being is that he or she is the eternal servant of Krishna. Therefore men and women both have the same duty, to fully surrender themselves unto Lord Sri Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

Question: Is the Bhagavad-gita for Women?
Thank you for the inspiring e-mails. My favorite section is the questions and answers. I have a question. Why is Bhagavad-gita so difficult to understand for common people like me? There is no instruction available that says how a woman should live her life according to Vedic literature. What is her duty? I need your guidance. Thanks,
Arti
Answer: The Bhagavad-gita is for Everyone
The Bhagavad-gita instructs us that for understanding its sublime teachings that we should approach a bona fide spiritual master, inquire from him submissively, and render service unto him. This is how everyone, men and women both, will understand properly the Bhagavad-gita. It cannot be understood by mental speculation. It can only be understood by submissively serving and inquiring from self-realized souls. Our identities as male and female are external coverings only. The actual identity of every living being is that he or she is the eternal servant of Krishna. Therefore men and women both have the same duty, to fully surrender themselves unto Lord Sri Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
