From Bitterness to Sweetness

There is nothing sweeter than becoming reconnected with Krishna. And hearing the topics of Krishna is the means of becoming reconnected with Him. But someone who is deeply entangled in the modes of material nature and is thus very much attached to material sense gratification will find the topics of Krishna to be a threat to his material enjoyment and will not want to hear them. Just as medicine, although sometimes very bitter, must be taken on the physician's order to recover from disease, even if the topics of Krishna appear bitter to us we should absorb ourselves in hearing them anyway. By this transcendental hearing process we will gradually become cured of our all distress, all bitterness will go away, and we will enter into the transcendental eternal dimension of unlimited bliss and knowledge in the association of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Sri Krishna.
