Take Shelter of the Bonafide Spiritual Master

In the Bhagavad-gita, Chapter 4, Text 34 Krishna gave the following instruction:

tad viddhi praṇipātenater
paripraśnena sevayā
upadekṣyanti te jñānaṁ
jñāninas tattva-darśinaḥ

TRANSLATION
"Just try to learn the truth by approaching a spiritual master. Inquire from him submissively and render service unto him. The self-realized soul can impart knowledge unto you because he has seen the truth."

Some people have the idea that one can be Krishna conscious without having a spiritual master. But being Krishna conscious means to be follow the instructions Krishna. And since Lord Sri Krishna has instructed that we should accept a spiritual master, we cannot be Krishna conscious unless we follow His instruction to accept a spiritual master.

Humble obeisances to Srila Prabhupada,

Did Prabhupada authorize his disciples to become diksha gurus? In his conversation Prabhupada said that after his disappearance his disciples would be siksha guru and that only Prabhupada would be diksha guru. So where can I can get diksha in ISKCON?

Yes, Srila Prabhupada gave the instruction on 28 May 1977 in Vrindavan that after his disappearance his disciples could be diksha gurus, having their own disciples, and that their disciples would be the grand disciples of Srila Prabhupada.

So once you are qualified you can take diksha from any one of the many ISKCON diksha gurus.

Where is this conversation that you are referring to?

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me.
