Solution for the World Crisis

We are in the midst of a world crisis. The human civilization is globally on the verge of a complete, total breakdown. Because our civilization is based on a false conception of the self, that the self is the material body, our present materially based social structure is doomed to inevitably degrade into total chaos. Those who can see this coming do not have to be morose and hopeless because there is a solution for this nightmare. The solution is isavasya, the God-centered conception of existence. I am not speaking here of the God on any particular religion. I am referring to the God of all religions, the Supreme Person with unlimited names, who is providing all of us with all of our necessities at every minute. If we all put Him back in the center showing Him our gratitude for everything He is giving us, global peace and prosperity will be the immediate result. So now the challenge is how to convince everyone to do just that.

Answer: Simply Try to Please Guru and Krishna

When you water the root of a tree, all the leaves and branches are nourished. Don't worry about what people think. Just do what is pleasing to Guru and Krishna, and you will please everyone. Of course, it may some time for all of them to realize it. So in the meantime you have to be patient. Even if they think that you are the biggest fool in all the three worlds, you must always stick tightly to your duty, the orders given to you by your spiritual master. But ultimately everyone will be completely pleased with you when your every thought, word, and deed in all times, places, and circumstances is for the pleasure of Guru and Krishna.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
