Who Would Not Be Attracted?...

No matter how you cut it this material world is a bad bargain. We struggle like anything to serve the bodily demands throughout our entire lives only to be rewarded with old age, disease, and death. But the good news is that there is a precise scientific technique available to us to make the best use of this bad bargain. That technique is known as the science of Krishna consciousness.

Those with higher level understanding, the enlightened sages, see this material existence as the greatest blessing because it is a wonderful facility for reviving our eternal all-blissful, all knowing identity in the spiritual sky. Who would not be attracted to such a utilization of the human form of life? Only those who are completely ignorant.

Answers According to the Vedic Version

Question: How Could We Be Envious of Krishna?...

I have read in your questions and answers that we were spirit souls and fell into the material world due to being envious of Lord Krishna. It is mentioned in Bhagavad Gita that those who have transcended the three modes of nature will be eligible to enter the spiritual world. When our consciousness is originally pure, how could we be envious of Lord Krishna? My understanding is that those souls who always think of only Lord Krishna can reach the Supreme abode - Goloka Vrindavan. Kindly dispel my ignorance.

I have got very high amount of appreciation for you for the task you have taken up in propagating this Krishna Consciousness movement. You are so much blessed by Lord Krishna, Lord Caitanya and Srila Prabhupada for doing this splendid work to awaken the spiritual identity of the fallen souls.

Best regards,

Answer: Love Means Freedom...

You have asked, "When our consciousness is originally pure, how could we be envious of Lord Krishna?" In this connection simply consider that love is voluntary. It cannot be forced. Krishna wants our love, but He does not force us to love Him. Therefore He gives us a free choice: "Love Me or leave Me."

If free choice actually exists there must be a possibility of abusing that free choice. If there is no such possibility, there is no free choice. Since possibility of abuse exists, there must be some degree of probability of abuse. If there is zero probability of abuse, there is no possibility of abuse, there is no free choice, and love cannot exist. So since some degree of probability must necessarily exist, even if it is infinitesimal, if we apply that most minute percentage of probability against the infinite number of living entities in spiritual world we end up with an infinity of living entities in the material world.

If this still does no answer your question to your full satisfaction, don't worry. Just qualify yourself fully for going back to home, back to Godhead, and then you will understand everything perfectly.
