The Perfection of Love

Some people argue that we should simply love everyone, that there is no need to love God. We should love everyone except for God? Why should we leave Him out? How rude! He is the one Who is providing with all of our necessities since time immemorial. Why we should not love him also?

His position as the maintainer is confirmed as follows in the Katha Upanishad:

nityo nityanam cetanas cetananam
eko bahunam yo vidadhati kaman

"There is one supreme eternal amongst the plural eternals and one supreme conscious being amongst the plural conscious beings. The difference between the the singular and the plural is the the singular is maintaining the plural and the plural are being maintained by the singular."

What is the good time for chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra. In time of student's examination, how many rounds is compulsory? My exam is very near. How should I adjust time for chanting and also for my study?

Answer: First Chant, Then Study...

The best time is in the early morning hours before sunrise. First chant 16 rounds, then study for school. You will have much better comprehension and retention of your studies.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
