The Impossible is Possible!!

One of my most favorite things that I have found in Srila Prabhupada's teachings is the concept that impossible is a word in a fool's dictionary. This means that even though it is impossible to make the whole world, Krishna conscious according to ordinary calculations, it is absolutely possible to see this most amazing transformation of the human society. Srila Prabhupada sometimes gives the example of hunting for a rhinoceros. To be able to bag a rhino is certainly a very, very difficult thing for a hunter. Trying to make the world Krishna conscious is sometimes compared to rhino hunting. If one is not successful in bagging a rhinoceros no one would criticize him because it's a most difficult thing to bag a rhinoceros. But if a hunter can actually do that, he'll be celebrated as the greatest hunter. Therefore let us now go for the impossible rhino hunt of making the whole word Krishna conscious. Even if we're not successful, no one can find fault with us because it's such a humongous task.

Are you ready for rhino hunting? We are now armed with the weapon of transcendent knowledge. This reminds of a pastime of Srila Prabhupada as described in the Srila Prabhupada Lilamrita:

Regardless of what ISKCON's charter members thought of the society's purposes, Prabhupāda saw them as imminent realities. As Mr. Ruben, the subway conductor who had met Prabhupāda on a Manhattan park bench in 1965, had noted: "He seemed to know that he would have temples filled up with devotees. "There are temples and books,' he said. "They are existing, they are there, but the time is separating us from them.'"

In the same way I know that out there in the future the whole world will become Krishna conscious. The whole world is already Krishna conscious. In every town, village and home everyone is accepting Krishna consciousness as the world religion. Only time is separating us from it.

Questions and Answers

If someone says, "What is the proof that God exists?' What should I say?

Answer

Ask them, "What is the proof that you exist? After we establish that you exist then we can talk about God's existence." The point is that according logical argument it is very difficult for them to even prove that they exist. You can tell them, "As far as I'm concerned you are just figment of my imagination and you don't really exist."

Our position is that we know God exists because we experience him.
