Inundating the Entire Universe with Krishna Bhakti

Srila Prabhupada explains in this purport to Caitanya Caritamrita, Adi 7.163:

"Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu has already sanctified the entire universe by His presence five hundred years ago, and therefore anyone who attempts to serve Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu sincerely by following in His footsteps and following the instructions of the acharyas will successfully be able to preach the holy names of the Hare Krishna maha-mantra all over the universe."

This is incredibly amazing! By sincerely following Lord Caitanya according to the instructions of the previous acharyas one will be successful in spreading Krishna consciousness all over the universe. What an amazing goal to aspire for! One simply has to strictly follow the pathway of the previous acharyas, and then by the grace of Lord Caitanya and the previous acharyas he will inundate the entire universe with Krishna bhakti.

Question: Are You or Krishna Running this World?

In the 14 August 2011 Thought for the Day, you have written:

"Our great hope is that some day soon the entire world will become Krishna conscious so that all of this chaos and suffering will end."

But I have learned from Bhagavad-gita, the Srimad Bhagavatam, and even you that this world is run by Lord Krishna. Even the worst of the worst people act according to the order of Lord Krishna, and until Lord Krishna showers His grace nobody can turn to Krishna consciousness.

So my question is Lord Krishna running this world or you?

Answer: Your Question is Absurd

How can you ask such an absurd question whether I run the world or Krishna runs it? The living being eternally remains the tiny servant of God, and Krishna eternally remains the supreme controller. At no time does the living being ever become God.

What you don't realize is that Krishna is controlling this universe along with all the other universes through the agency of two different energies: His material energy and His spiritual energy. It is through the agency of these two energies that He controls everything, just as a government controls all of its citizens by it laws for free citizens or its prisons for criminals. Just as it is up to each citizen to either obey or disobey the state laws, it is up to each jiva soul to either serve the Lord's material energy or the Lord's spiritual energy.

At the present moment this world is filled up with a population of jiva souls who have foolishly misused their minute independence by choosing to serve the Lord's inferior external or material energy. It is the Lord's merciful order that His devotees try to reform these lost souls. And in a mood of loving compassion for all these suffering souls the devotees try to convince these lost souls to come out of the prison of this material existence and reinstate themselves in their eternal liberated positions as the servants of the Lord. Therefore, the devotees, in full obedience to the order of the Lord, endeavor to make the entire world Krishna conscious so that everyone can become happy.

Krishna has appeared as Lord Caitanya to bestow His grace that the entire world can become Krishna conscious. And He has empowered His devotees as His messengers to deliver His mercy for the salvation of all. Those who are fortunate will accept the Lord's mercy delivered by the devotees, and the unfortunate will not accept this mercy. This is compared to the rain cloud, which brings the water from the ocean to extinguish the blazing forest fire. This material world is a blazing forest fire, and the Lord's devotees are like the rain clouds, which bring the water of the Lord's mercy to relieve the suffering souls.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me.
