Why ignorantly suffer, wasting valuable time trying to be something that you are not, when you can instead live in your all-blissful all-cognizant identity as the eternal servant of the original source of all existence, the Supreme Personality of Godhead? To come to this perfectional stage of being is real intelligence, which goes far, far beyond the so-called intelligence of the empirical scientists and the mental gymnasts.

Question: Is There Any Reason for Hope?

Your Grace, I want very badly to somehow get back home to God despite my ignorance and confusion (and endless questions). I fully understand that this will never happen without the help of the Holy Master. But, you know, it seems that I've spent my whole lifetime TRYING to grasp the Lord's will, and yet miserably failing to do so. I must have read the Gita at least several hundred times trying my best to understand the Lord's instructions to little avail. Now I'm 57 years old, physically-disabled, and in poor health. I can't imagine that I have much more time in this miserable life. I've tried so hard, Your Grace, and failed so many times. Honestly, is there any reason for hope? Please, Oh God, please illuminate my worthless mind. Srila Gurudeva, I am out of options. Even though I'm unworthy, please help me; I fall at Your Lotus Feet.

Answer: There Is Unlimited Hope.

There is unlimited hope, so don't despair. You can now become completely perfect. If you will simply sincerely beg Lord Krishna that you can fully surrender to Him, from within as the Supersoul and externally through the transparent via medium of the bona fide spiritual master, He will give you all good guidance for becoming fully perfect in this lifetime so that you can go back to home, back to Godhead when you leave your present body.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
