Who is God?

God must be all-powerful. Otherwise there is no meaning to the concept of God. And since God is all-powerful does it make sense that He would allow time, which is one of His energies, to deteriorate Him in any way? Since God controls everything, there is no question that time could have any kind of deteriorating effect on the Supreme Person. So why should we foolishly depict God as an old man with beard, as he is painted in the Sistine Chapel in Rome? This does make any sense. It is merely the speculation of a person who does not realize who and what is God.

If I love a girl and I give her flowers, chocolates and she accepts or rejects, reciprocating positively or negatively. So, if I love Lord Krishna and express my love and devotion to Him, how does He reciprocate?

Answer: How Does He Not Reciprocate With Us?

How does Krishna not reciprocate with us? Krishna is already lovingly giving us everything: the air we breathe, the food we eat, our friends, our family, our home, our income, our clothing, etc. Indeed He is giving us our very existence itself. So there is no limit to the reciprocation coming from His side. Now it is up to us to reciprocate with Him by fully giving Him our love and our very selves. When we do so He will reciprocate by personally giving Himself to us, just as He reciprocated with Arjuna by becoming His chariot driver.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
