The Topmost Mystics

Due to their strict adherence to the principles of the astanga yoga system, the yogis are able to develop eight types of mystic powers including the power known as anima siddhi, the ability to make oneself smaller than an atom. In that subatomic state the yogis can enter anywhere. They can enter a stone or pass through any obstacle. But in spite of their possessing this amazing mystic power, the yogis are not able to enter into the planets of the spiritual world.

The devotees of the Lord, however, are able to easily enter into the spiritual world by dint of devotional service. Being thus more adept in mystic perfection than the yogis, the devotees are the topmost mystics. The devotees simply take shelter of the Hare Krishna mahamantra and fly on that mantra airplane directly into the wondrous spiritual sky, in less than a second passing through the trillions of miles of coverings of this material universe, crossing the Viraja and taking shelter of the lotus feet of the Lord in His transcendental pastimes.

Answer: There is No Such Thing

Although historically rooted in India, the Hare Krishna movement did not originate in India. It originates in the spiritual world and was first manifested in this universe 155 trillion years ago when Lord Krishna enlightened Lord Brahma with Krishna consciousness just after the creation of this universe.

The word "Hindu" is not found in Vedic scriptures, the foundation of Indian culture. It was coined by the Muslims to describe those persons living east of the River Sindhu, which is now known as the Indus River. Therefore, strictly speaking the term "Hinduism" is a misnomer. Vedic scholars know that the actual term for India's ancient religious culture is "sanatana dharma", the eternal religion of the soul.

Sanatana dharma is indeed the world's oldest religion because it has no beginning point in history. It means to fully absorb yourself in loving service to the Supreme Personality of Godhead Lord Sri Krishna or Vishnu. There is no such thing as the beginning of sanatana dharma or "Hinduism" because, like the Hare Krishna movement, it has no beginning point in history having originated in the spiritual world.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. Who is this Krishna?

Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
