Planning Our Next World Tour

We are back now at Bhaktivedanta Ashram preparing for our next world tour which will begin in late March after Gaura Purnima. We still have not planned our first stop in Europe. Due the routing rules of our around-the-world tickets we are restricted to certain cities. If you are in one of the following cities and would like me to come there for lecturing, kindly inform us as soon as possible so we can consider the feasibility of our coming there.

Question: Liberated by Sankirtan?

My dear Srila Gurudeva!

Please accept my humble obeisances!

You said in one lesson entitled "The Time Has come to Completely Respiritualize the Entire Planet" that even the plants and animals are uplifted by Lord Caitanya's Sankirtan Movement, the congregational chanting of Lord Sri Krishna's holy names. Are they liberated by the Sankirtan?

Answer: Sankirtan Liberates Everyone

Any plant or animal who is exposed to the transcendental sound vibration of the Hare Krishna mantra is greatly purified. By being purified his evolution to the human form, in which he can be liberated from the cycle of birth and death, will come much sooner than it would have if he had not come into contact with the Hare Krishna mahamantra. And once he comes to the human form, he will become even more purified if he again hears the sound of Krishna's name from the mouth of His devotees. By repeatedly hearing the holy names he will eventually be sufficiently purified to reawaken his dormant Krishna consciousness and thus will fully surrender himself at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Krishna and become liberated from the cycle of birth and death. Therefore all over the world devotees should have kindness upon the countless jivas who are caught up in samsara by as much as possible and in as many places as possible publicly singing the sublime Hare Krishna mantra as loudly as possible so that all living beings can become liberated as soon as possible:

Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare
Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
