Brilliant as the Sun

My quarters here in Sillamae overlook the Gulf of Finland. This morning while I was doing my writing the sunrise gradually manifested. I was immediately reminded of that sun which is even more brilliant than the sun which rises every morning. That sun is the Srimad Bhagavatam. When Lord Sri Krishna departed from this planet 5,000 years He remained in this world in the form of the Srimad Bhagavatam to dissipate the dark ignorance and illusion of this age of Kali so that people could become truly happy.

This is nicely describe in the following verse of the Srimad Bhagavatam:

krsne sva-dhamopagate
dharma-jnanadibhih saha
kalau nasta-drsam esa
puranarko 'dhunoditah

"This Bhagavat Purana is as brilliant as the sun, and it has arisen just after the departure of Lord Krishna to His own abode, accompanied by religion, knowledge, etc. Persons who have lost their vision due to the dense darkness of ignorance in the age of Kali shall get light from this Purana."--Srimad Bhagavatam 1.3.43

Answer: Become a Devotee....

I am very happy to learn that you are attracted by our teachings. The secret of success in the matter of fully realizing the knowledge that we are presenting is to become a devotee of Krishna like Arjuna. Krishna told Arjuna that because you are my devotee, therefore you can understand these teachings:

sa evayam maya te 'dya
yogah proktah puratanah
bhakto 'si me sakha ceti
rahasyam hy etad uttamam

"That very ancient science of the relationship with the Supreme is today told by Me to you because you are My devotee as well as My friend and can therefore understand the transcendental mystery of this science." --Bhagavad-gita 4.3

The first qualification for understanding our teachings is that you must become the devotee of Krishna.
