Should I Hide My Spiritual Master?

Recently I read where someone had written that one is supposed to keep their spiritual master a hidden secret. I was quite surprised by this idea because it is so contrary to what we have been taught by Srila Prabhupada, who teaches that it is the duty of the disciple to widely publicize the glories of his spiritual master and his teachings to the fallen souls of this world to attract them to surrender to Krishna. In this connection Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura writes, "One should loudly glorify the guru," and Srila Prabhupada has stated on 4 August 1974 when he was giving a lecture in Vrindavana, India:

“This is the business of the disciple, how to glorify the spiritual master, parampara. I glorify my spiritual master, you glorify your spiritual master. If we simply do that, glorify, then Krishna is glorified.”

Srila Prabhupada taught us to publicly worship our spiritual master as a regular daily affair. He gave us a song to sing every day which states that the fame of the spiritual master is spread all over the three worlds. So if his disciples are not allowed to spread his fame, then who is going to spread it? It is very clear from Srila Prabhupada's instructions that is the duty of the disciples to broadcast the glories of their spiritual master all over the world. Therefore we should always glorify our spiritual master as much as possible. The more we glorify him, the more we glorify Krishna, and the more we glorify Krishna, the more we make advancement on the pathway back to home, back to Godhead.

In the photograph below we see a ceremony in which hundreds of devotees came from all over the world to glorify and worship their spiritual master. I personally attended this wonderful festival. This was not a hidden or secret event. Representatives from the New York Times and many other leading media outlets were there to witness it and report it to the world. Had Srila Prabhupada wanted the glorification of the spiritual master to remain secret, he would not have allowed the media to witness and report on this Vyas Puja ceremony in which he was being worshipped as representative of God.

Question: Chanting Effects the Soul or the Mind?

Where is the impact/effect of chanting the Hare Krishna mahamantra manifested? Is it on the soul or the mind?

Answer: Cleanses Mind to Reconnect You With Soul

The soul is already pure, but presently it is covered by a materialistic mind. By chanting the Hare Krishna mahamantra the mental blocks are gradually washed away and you regain your original pure soul consciousness, your original pure state known as Krishna consciousness.
