The Perfection of Relationship

The individual living being exists in a relationship between that which is him and that which is not him. Those who find this relationship painful and want to remove the pain sometimes deny this relationship by stating that the individual self is all that exists and therefore there is no such thing as relationship. They posit a self which exists in an impersonal, formless, relationshipless oneness and imagine that they have become liberated from all the pain of relationship. However, since our very nature is that we desire to live in a state of relationship, relationshiplessness will never satisfy the self. It something like cutting off one's head to cure a headache. So instead of deny relationship to become free from painful relationship, the living being must learn how to have a perfect relationship between himself and that which is not himself. The science of how do to this is called Krishna consciousness.

Question: How Can A Dietician Serve Krishna?

O Gurudeva, please accept my respectful obeisances.

I am thankful to you for helping me to get the all those necessary things essential to become a Krishna conscious devotee. I am very very thankful to you that you are helping me to get love and affections of Lord Krishna through your messages.

I have read the article "How to Practice Krishna Consciousness at Home" from the link on www.ultimateselfrealization.com. I have a question. The article explained that a painter should paint for Krishna or a writer should write for Krishna. Gurudeva, I am a dietician by profession. How can I used this in service to Krishna?

Answer: Teach the Attitude of Gratitude Diet

You can teach people how living on a vegetarian diet of foods that are first offered to God before eating is the most beneficial, healthy diet. You can call it the Attitude of Gratitude Diet. Merely thanking God for what we eat is not enough. We should only eat what we have first offered to Him. This is the real expression of thanks. And we must only offer Him those things which He will accept. This means that we cannot offer Him anything from the category of meat, fish, and eggs. It's a fact that when we practice and attitude of gratitude in all of our activities that this elevates us to a healthier, happier life. You should present this diet based on all arguments: ecological, economic, health, ethical, and spiritual. Kindly consult the Higher Taste cookbook for detailed answers on how this diet of food offered to God is superior. You can purchase a copy at: http://food.krishna.com/cookbook/higher-taste
