Go to the Proper Guru

If you want to know things as they are, you must go the proper guru. Do not waste your time with a bogus self-proclaimed guru. You must seek out and take shelter of the proper guru. Who is that proper guru? He is that saintly teacher who delivers to you purely the teachings of Lord Krishna exactly as they are spoken in the Bhagavad-gita without any addition or subtraction and who was ordered by his spiritual master to spread the Krishna consciousness movement all over the world. This is the Kali yuga, the age of cheating. Thus the world abounds with bogus gurus. Therefore you should be very careful to seek out the proper guru who can factually liberate you from the cycle of birth and death, not to one who is simply interested in liberating you from your wallet.

The entire existence is the pleasure pastimes of the Supreme Person. We have a free choice to participate in His pleasure pastimes or to try imitate Him by having our own counterfeit pleasure pastimes. Just as counterfeit money may appear very attractive, but factually has no value, similarly our attempts to enjoy separately from the Supreme Person are in the final analysis empty and useless.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
