The dearmost person in my life is my beloved spiritual master, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. It is he who, with the help of his agents such as His Holiness Vishnujana Swami, so mercifully rescued me from the most dangerous ocean of birth, death, old age, and disease. Our actual position is that we are eternal, full of knowledge, and full of bliss. So why should we torture ourselves by misidentification with our temporary material bodies? Such misidentification unfortunately chokes off our ability to engage in actual loving relationships, and thus without tasting true love we will not be able to find genuine satisfaction. Thus we will remain in a frustrated state not being able to taste real happiness. Because to taste constant happiness is our real constitutional nature when such real happiness is not tasted we will imagine ourselves to be happy even when factually we are in the most miserable, abominable situations. This is called illusory happiness and it brings us no satisfaction at all. When we are completely in maya or illusion that is the time when we need to call out to Krishna for help. We should not be so proud and puffed up to think that we don't need any help. We should always feel fully dependent on Krishna's loving mercy. Krishna is always ready, willing, and able to save us from our bewilderment provided we are seeking His help.
